Why conduct an Intervention?

Because nothing else has worked.

Most people attempt to change a person or situation through reason and discussion, usually on a one to one basis. But if this fails, frustration may lead to anger and can persist for years.

An Intervention that includes several people who are significant to the lives of the person and that is conducted in a controlled and logical way, focusing on changing everyone's behaviour at least for the immediate future is a highly effective way to interrupt the destructive patterns that are the cause of concern.
